Wow, the last few weeks have been a bit of a blur for me. Allofasudden... WHAM! I'm pulling full-time hours at my part-time job. 11:30 am - 7:30 pm, five days a week. The pay is damn great, but having an 8-hour shift stuck right in the middle of the day will definitely mess with the rest of your life when you're on a tight schedule the way I am. Really though, the only schedule I'll ever be on is a tight one. Fuck, I just wanted to say "tight" so I could giggle a bit.

I've been hitting the bars a lot the last month or so. Students are back, and back in the habit of drinking, which pretty much means so am I. I want to take a moment to express how happy I was to see some old friends again like Dominique, Frank SKNARF, and The Dink. At the same time it's been nice making new friends too. Chris, Joanne, and Matt have all been very cool people thus far. I love being at the bars and passing out my buttons for everyone. Sadly I'm all out right now but I'm expecting a shipment of purple ones to arrive any day now. And I don't mind being drunk either.
Half the reason it's taken me so long to update my blog is because of Seamus. You all know that I recently had to part ways with my little Irish cat. It was really hard to do. Seamus had turned nasty on us (peeing on furniture for no reason) and the best decision for Dana and I was to say good-bye to him. Did I mention it was hard to do? The morning I put him up for adoption at the Humane Society I was crying my eyes out. For real, I was a huge mess. I had never been closer to any animal than I was with Seamus. Some of you might remember my old cat Toxika (1997-2001) and how much of a mess I was when she was put down. Toxika was my best friend in high school. Seamus was like my son. Giving away my cat felt like I gave away my own fucking kid. I nearly threw up. I almost couldn't go to work because my eyes were so red from crying. Gotta send out some thanks to Jimmy One Scoop for taking my sorry ass there and lending a shoulder.

If anyone is interested, I'm still the Monopoly Champion. Scott Bryan tried again to defeat me, but I destroyed him a second time in a row. Him and I rented Snakes on a Train the other day. Yes, you read right. On A Train! This low-budget flick was trying to cash in on the hype from Snakes on a Plane and it wasn't very good at all. Actually, the last 15 minutes were pretty enjoyable and there's a brilliant deleted scene on the DVD too. Other than that... this movie sucked hard. Speaking of movies that sucked hard... I also rented The Wild. Yeah, don't waste your time on that one.
It's time to say good-bye to a landmark in the downtown Kingston area. Cec's Chinese Kitchen has been demolished, and reduced to a pile of rubble. "So what?" You might say. "It was only a Chinese restaurant." Well you're fucking wrong. Cec's holds a special place in all our hearts. For some, it was like a temple of the Gods. For others, it was a place you could count on for the best take-out and delivery in town. For me, it was the place my dad would order chinese food from when he came home drunk on Friday nights. Ah the memories.

Until you hear from me again (really soon, no worries), I'll just be listening to the new Aerosmith song, Sedona Sunrise, on repeat.
