Coconut Water! THE ULTIMATE THIRST QUENCHER! Johnny called me up on Saturday afternoon to see if I was interested in going to a used record sale. Since I'm ALWAYS interested in going to a used record sale, I jumped at the chance. I had some other things to do, and I knew we could incorporate them into the records. After looking at a bazillion different Rick Springfield and Barbara Streisand albums, we both went home with our own box full of records. My big score was the soundtrack for The Secret of My Success (starring Mr. Goddam Michael J. Fox), but that's a story for another day. Today's story is about coconut water. I had to go to the grocery store to score some boxes. I'm moving, and apparently things are easier to move when they're in boxes. I also had to buy tampons... yes, you read that right. I don't mind buying tampons, and the only unfortunate thing about it was that I forgot the "buy one pack, get one pack free" coupon. While in the grocery store we noticed Coconut Water. After making fun of it for a few seconds, we noticed that on the can it stated that this particular drink was "The Ultimate Thirst Quencher"! Fuck! I can't believe we haven't been drinking this our whole lives! On to the tasting! Coconut Water might have been okay if it didn't have chunks of coconut floating around inside of it. Remember Orbitz? No? There's a good fucking reason, too. It had floating things in it that made you gag and puke the drink back up. I like coconuts. And I like having milk from a coconut. So I think we were expecting this canned beverage to taste like coconut milk. Alas, we were wrong, and the good thing is that the can only cost me 88 cents of my hard-earned money.
