You know, it's really hard to believe that one simple imaginary line running along the land can make things so different from one side of it to the other. I'm referring, of course, to my trip to the United States of America on the long weekend. I'm not going to get into details about the trip right now though. They'll be in my updated blog later this week.
No, today I'm going to share with you some results of a scientific study I did. It's a comparison study between The USA and Canada. More specifically, we're looking at how one simple food can change when it crosses the border.
Growing up in Canada, Kraft Dinner was a staple in ever household on the block. You could put hot dog weiners in it, or bacon, but I've always been known to put parmesan cheese on top. Most of the cartoons I watched as a kid were on American stations though, and that meant I got all of their commercials. Do you know how funny it was the first time I saw someone refer to Kraft Dinner as "Kraft Macaroni & Cheese"? The name alone is simply long enough that you need an extra breath just to get it all out.
So I put together a panel of experts, mostly friends of mine that have already been in college and university. And we cooked the two boxes of orange-powder-pasta to find out if there was indeed a difference from one country to the other. And if there was, which country did it better?
