Seriously, Carrell is the best part of Horton, playing the Mayor of Whosville, and at times you'd think the CGI character was actually the actor himself. It's scary how well these compu-cartoons are being made. Vlad, one of the film's "bad guys", was just perfect in his small dose. You watch, he'll become the most quoted character of the entire movie. The Bad: Nothing against Jim Carrey, but at no point was I overly excited to have him as the large elephant protagonist. There just wasn't anything stand-out about him. The movie was a little long, an dragging, and I could've totally done without the rendition of "I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore" at the end of the movie. It just didn't fit, and seemed really forced. The Verdict: Horton Hears A Who was enjoyable, but not something I'd rush to see again. Honestly, I can see it falling into that pile of CGI cartoons that will be long forgotten when people bring up Shrek and Toy Story. Hell, I only liked The Barnyard because it had an Aerosmith song in it. I'd like to see more tradition animation films, a la Curious George. But Horton was fun, and that's all that really matters. You'll enjoy it. Your kids will enjoy it. Blah blah blah.
