The Sun And Moon
Written by Ryan Matthew
The chocolate shop was where we'd meet
An encounter in the shape of bittersweet
The smile that you were wearing was so discreet
Maybe it's from far away
Thought I'd be nice and buy a taste
Didn't like it, offered it to you in haste
You threw it back at me, what a waste
Maybe it's better this way

Oh can you see the sun and moon
Forming behind your eyes
Like a dancer who can't sing in tune
Hiding behind the disguise

I stole a baby flower and gave her a name
Looked like the last one but didn't smell the same
Searched all around until it finally came
But it came from far away
All my friends took the train outta town
"Oh her smile is just a frown upside down"
No, she don't like chocolate when it comes from a clown
But it's probably better that way

Oh can you see the sun and moon
Tangled up in your hair
Like the wizard who casts his spell so soon
But always refused to share
